Analía Bogdan is a Director of the ATA Board. She is an English-Spanish translator specialized in finance, holder of a Bachelor’s degree in translation from the University of Buenos Aires, and a Master’s Degree in Legal and Financial Translation. She did a graduate course in Capital Markets and was certified as a Mutual Funds advisor in Argentina. She worked in the financial industry for 10 years before becoming a professional translator. Analía was the Administrator of the Finance Division of the Buenos Aires Translator´s Association for 5 years, and the Secretary of the Technology division of that same association for 7 years; she was also the Treasurer of the Association of Translators and Interpreters of Florida (ATIF) for 2 years. She gave courses and talks related to finance and banking for companies and translation associations (NCATA, NCTA, ATIF, CTPCBA), and wrote several articles for professional publications, such as ATA´s Spanish Division publication “Intercambios”, and the ATA´s Legal Division Blog. She has also been a speaker at the ATA Annual Conferences of 2019, 2021, 2022 and 2023. Analía was granted a permanent residence in the United States for her specialization in the financial translation industry, considered of national interest.
